The Reverend Misty Kiwak Jacobs, Rector

To email Rev. Misty Kiwak Jacobs

Reverend Misty Kiwak Jacobs is a native of Scottsdale, Arizona. She spent her college years in the Northeast, studying Russian, Writing and Literature at Sarah Lawrence College. While a student in Moscow, Russia in her early 20s, Misty felt the call to Christianity and was baptized in the Missionaries of Charity community. In 2015, a historic sign and red doors of a country church in Upstate New York lured her into the Episcopal Church; the expansive welcome and the focus on God’s grace kept her here.

After raising her two children to adulthood and working as a teacher and a freelance writer, Misty earned a Master of Divinity and a Diploma in Anglican Studies from Yale Divinity School in 2020. She served as a Chaplain Resident at a Level I Trauma Center in 2020-2021 during the COVID crisis, and earned a Sacred Theology Masters in Homiletics from YDS in 2023.

Misty served as an Intern and Curate at St. John’s Williamstown before being called to to Grace Church. Misty lives in Maine with her husband, Joseph Molleur, Professor of Religion Emeritus at Cornell College and lay preacher. Mother Misty’s belief in God’s infinite mercy and the healing power of the preached Word define her call to ministry.
